Terms of Purchase and Refund Policy

Last updated: September 4, 2026

These Terms of Purchase and Refund Policy apply to purchases of Tarot as a Threshold from Shannon Leigh LLC, doing business as Thresholds of Self (“Thresholds of Self,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

Other Thresholds of Self classes, programs, products, or services may have separate terms. If separate terms are presented for another offering, those terms will govern that purchase.

1. Your Purchase for Tarot as a Threshold

Tarot as a Threshold is a one-time, 90-minute educational class presented live through Zoom.

Your $44 purchase includes:

  • Admission for one person to the live class on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 7:00–8:30 p.m. Central Time.

  • Guided image-based activities and reflective prompts.

  • A downloadable reference handout.

  • Access to the class recording for 30 days from the date it is delivered.

The recording is expected to be delivered within 48 hours after the live class.

Your registration is for your individual use and may not be transferred, shared, resold, or reproduced without written permission from Thresholds of Self.

2. Payment and Registration

By completing your purchase, you authorize the payment method provided at checkout to be charged for the total amount displayed.

Registration is complete when payment is successfully processed and you receive an order confirmation. You are responsible for providing an accurate email address and checking your inbox, spam, promotions, or junk folders for class communications.

If you do not receive your confirmation or access information, contact hello@thresholdsofself.com.

3. Refund Policy

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds for this class, including when:

  • You change your mind.

  • You are unable to attend the live class.

  • A scheduling conflict arises.

  • You do not participate in the activities.

  • You experience a problem involving your device, internet connection, email account, Zoom installation, or other technology outside our control.

  • You do not watch the recording during the stated access period.

If you cannot attend live, you will still receive the recording and may complete the reflective activities at your own pace during the 30-day access period.

Nothing in this policy limits any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be waived.

4. Cancellation, Rescheduling, or Technical Problems

If Thresholds of Self cancels or reschedules the class, we will notify registered participants using the email address provided at checkout.

If the class is rescheduled, your registration will transfer to the new date and the recording will be provided according to the updated schedule.

If a technical problem prevents us from delivering the class as planned, we will make reasonable efforts to provide a replacement session or suitable recording.

If Thresholds of Self cancels the class and cannot provide a rescheduled session or suitable recording within a reasonable period, you will receive a credit towards a future class or private tarot session.

We are not responsible for delays or interruptions caused by events reasonably outside our control, but we will make reasonable efforts to provide the purchased class content.

5. Recording and Privacy

The live class will be recorded. Depending on how you participate, the recording may capture your Zoom display name, image, voice, chat messages, or spoken contributions.

You may participate with your camera off, remain muted, use a non-identifying display name, and reflect privately. You are not required to disclose personal information or speak during the class.

Your participation is also governed by the separate Recording & Privacy Agreement which is incorporated into these terms. Please review that agreement before purchasing or joining the class.

6. Recording Access and Use

The class recording will be made available only to registered participants through a password-protected or otherwise access-controlled link.

Unless Thresholds of Self expressly provides a download, you may stream the recording during the access period but may not:

  • Record or copy the class.

  • Download or distribute the recording.

  • Share your access link or password.

  • Republish, sell, teach from, or create derivative materials from the class or handout.

  • Post class materials or participant contributions publicly.

Recording access expires 30 days after the recording is delivered.

7. Educational Purpose

Tarot as a Threshold is an educational and reflective experience. It is not psychotherapy, group therapy, medical or mental-health treatment, diagnosis, crisis support, legal advice, financial advice, or a substitute for individualized professional care.

The class does not provide predictions, personalized treatment, or authoritative claims about another person’s thoughts, intentions, or future behavior.

You remain responsible for deciding whether an interpretation is useful and for all decisions or actions you take during or after the class.

8. Participation and Conduct

Participation in class discussions and activities is optional. You may decline an activity, remain silent, or leave a question unresolved.

Participants are expected to respect the privacy, dignity, and boundaries of others. Please do not disclose sensitive information about yourself or identifiable information about another person during the class.

Thresholds of Self may remove a participant whose conduct is threatening, harassing, significantly disruptive, unlawful, or violates these terms. A participant removed for such conduct will not ordinarily receive a refund.

9. Intellectual Property

The class presentation, handouts, prompts, recordings, written materials, graphics, and other original materials are owned by or licensed to Thresholds of Self and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Your purchase provides a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to use the materials for your own educational and reflective purposes. It does not transfer ownership or grant permission for commercial use, duplication, distribution, or public presentation.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Thresholds of Self will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your participation in or inability to access the class.

If Thresholds of Self is found liable for a claim associated with your purchase, its total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the class, except where applicable law does not permit that limitation.

11. Changes to These Terms

The version of these terms presented when you complete your purchase will govern that purchase. We may update this page for future purchases by changing the “Last updated” date.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without limiting consumer protections that apply under other governing law.
